  • Thank you for visiting the Elston Middle School website.  Our school is located at 317 Detroit Street on the north end of Michigan City, Indiana.  Elston Middle School is one of three middle schools in the Michigan City Area Schools District.

    Elston accommodates approximately 500 students from sixth to eighth grade.  We offer a variety of support systems and services to accommodate a variety of student learning needs including special education services, Response to Instruction, Success Team, and ENL. 

    At Elston, students are encouraged and motivated to learn in a positive environment where they Practice respect, Accept responsibility, Work together, and demonstrate Safety matters. (PAWS)  As a staff, we believe that with the appropriate encouragement, guidance, and leadership, each child has the ability to reach his/her own fullest potential.  Thank you for exploring our website!

S'Cool! 
Elston Middle School students performed their own pop-rock musical on Tuesday, October 29th. The musical was presented by the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade chorus classes (more than 200+ students!) and included a special presentation by the Elston Show Choir. A few Elston parents were even part of the cast! (Admission was one canned good to benefit the Salvation Army food pantry... and well over 500 items were collected.)
